Hello all,
This is Carol. I wish you all a very happy New Year. Thanks to the snow we have had a uniquely quiet and wonderful Christmas season.
The snow kept us home within our small family circle — three and the cat. Our daughter was home until yesterday and is now circuitously enroute to Victoria.
The snow also made for some very interesting grocery shopping trips that involved walking, buses and taxis.
Then there were the pleasure walks, for which we had to break trail in places. The snow-laden branches leaning down over the creek. Beautiful, and evocative of long past winters in the north.
Such a refreshing change, to see snow, walk in snow, smell snow. And all that sunlight on snow as seen through the window…wonderful.
Today was another day of quiet crossword puzzling…nearly finished the tiger. So challenging, though only a thousand pieces. The animal is complete, the sky is complete, but the trees! They’re all the same.
Yeah, I know. Way too much description and no plot.
Hope to deal with that and more in the coming year.
